Daily maintenance of rollers during use

Aluminum alloy wheels have won the favor of more and more private car owners for their beautiful appearance, safety and comfort. Almost all new models use aluminum alloy wheels, and many car owners have also replaced the steel wheel hubs used in their original cars with aluminum alloy wheels. Here, I would like to introduce the maintenance methods of aluminum alloy wheels:

1. When the temperature of the wheel hub is high, it should be allowed to cool naturally before cleaning. Never use cold water to clean it. Otherwise, the aluminum alloy wheel hub will be damaged, and even the brake disc will be deformed, affecting the braking effect. In addition, cleaning the aluminum alloy wheel hub with a detergent at high temperature will cause a chemical reaction on the surface of the wheel hub, which will lose its luster and affect its appearance.

2. When the wheel hub is stained with difficult-to-remove asphalt, if general detergents are useless, you can try to remove it with a brush. Here, I would like to introduce a folk remedy for removing asphalt to private car owners: that is, use medicinal "active oil" to rub it, which can achieve unexpected results. You may as well give it a try.

3. If the place where the vehicle is located is humid, the wheel hub should be cleaned frequently to prevent salt from corroding the aluminum surface.

4. If necessary, after cleaning, the wheel hub can be waxed to maintain its gloss forever.

Repair method

When there are stains on the surface of the wheel hub that are difficult to remove, a professional cleaning agent should be used. This cleaning agent can often remove stains gently and effectively, reducing damage to the aluminum alloy surface. In addition, the wheel hub itself has a layer of metal protective film, so when cleaning, special attention should be paid to not using paint brightener or other abrasive materials. Be careful during driving to avoid scratches on the wheel hub. Once there are scratches or deformations, they should be repaired and repainted as soon as possible. So how to repair scratches?

There are six specific steps to repair:

Step 1: Check the scratches. If the inside of the wheel hub is not damaged, you can simply repair it. Use paint thinner to wipe around the scratches to remove dirt;

Step 2: The deepest scratch is difficult to remove dirt, so you can use a toothpick to clean it thoroughly;

Step 3: In order to prevent the unrelated parts from being painted by mistake, carefully stick the tape around the scratches;

Step 4: Arrange the brush tip and apply touch-up paint.

Step 5: After painting, wait until it is completely dry and then apply it with water-resistant paper dipped in soapy water to make the surface smooth;

Step 6: After wiping with water-resistant paper, use a mixture to polish it, and then apply wax.

If you encounter deeper scratches, the key is to observe whether the metal surface is exposed. If the metal surface is not visible, it will not rust, and you can concentrate on applying touch-up paint. Apply it little by little with the tip of the pen, and then wait for the paint to dry completely. To avoid this phenomenon, the wheels should be washed frequently when the car is first used. For vehicles driven daily, the wheels should be washed at least once a week. First, rinse with clean water, then use a detergent to scrub with a sponge, and then rinse with plenty of clean water. Daily maintenance is also essential. When the wheel hub temperature is high, it should be allowed to cool naturally before cleaning. Never use cold water to clean it; otherwise, the aluminum alloy wheel hub will be damaged or even the brake disc will be deformed, affecting the braking effect. In addition, using detergent to clean aluminum alloy wheels at high temperatures will cause a chemical reaction on the wheel hub surface, causing it to lose its luster and affect its appearance.

When the wheel hub is stained with difficult-to-remove tar, if ordinary detergents are ineffective, you can try to remove it with a brush, but do not use a hard brush, especially an iron brush, to avoid damaging the wheel hub surface. Some experts have introduced a folk remedy for removing tar: using medicinal "active oil" to rub it can achieve unexpected results. Car owners may wish to try it. In addition, when the vehicle is located near the seaside, the wheel hub should be cleaned frequently to prevent salt corrosion on the aluminum surface.
